Buffalo River DNR

Visited here in 2012 on a hot August day. Hiked a loop starting at the swimming area. The trail was nice in spite of the intense heat and lack of shade for most of the trip. I can't say there's anything about this park that would convince me to make a special trip there, but it is a good place to go for a stroll. I've always enjoyed trails that have prairie on one side and woods on the other. There were also pretty wildflowers.  As far as the campground- both loops had little privacy.

My photos from here are pretty lousy.  The summer was very dry and so that's why everything looks so dull and brown.
