Aspelund Free Lutheran Church
I couldn't find any info on this church. The building is locked, but still has furniture inside.
Directions: Cty. 55 W of Walhalla or E of ND 1. Church is on S side of road.
Big Pembina Lutheran Church
I believe this church was founded around 1900. It is still holding services and is unlocked.
Directions: Look for sign (shaped like a little church) off of Cty. 55 west of Walhalla. On 106th St. on south side of road.
Fjalla Lutheran Church
Church founded in 1886. First services held in 1894. This is an Icelandic church and it
closed in 1967.
Directions: ND 5 to road for Senator Young Dam. Go west on first road past dam. Building is locked.
Goldberg Lutheran Church
I couldn't find any info on this church. The interior is empty, but the exterior appears
to be well maintained.
Directions: Off of ND 5 east of Langdon. Visible from road on south side.
Nore Numedahl Lutheran Church
Formed in 1896 by immigrant homesteaders. Built circa 1900, originally used as a
schoolhouse in Canada. Moved across the border by steam engine in the early 1900s and to its current location in 1921. Last
service was a funeral in 1972.
Directions: West on first road past Cty 55 East (North of Walhalla). Eventually there will be a sign that says Numedahl
& scenic route. Keep going west past this and the church will be on the south side of the road.
St. Stephan's Lutheran Church
Congregation founded in 1883. Church was built in 1898 & renovated between 1999
& 2001. I don't think services are still held here.
Directions: ND 32 to Walsh County 1. Go west, church is on north side of road & is locked.
